I am looking at moving to sky from virgin and have a couple of questions before I ring up and get collared by someone who knows as little as me!!

I have gone on their site and added all the sports channels and packs that I require which totals £40. Added the sky HD box and HD pack along with broadband everyday lite and phoneline (talk freetime). Total is £50 per month.

Looking at getting the multiroom which says £10 per room extra and want this in an extra 2 rooms in HD. So is this £70 in total or is there any hidden charges without going through all the small print.

Any changes required? Seems a bit cheap to me.

Any help/suggestions welcomed.....

£70 a month seems a bit cheap!! For 600 channels of shoite!

You must work for Sky... are they struggling for new subscriptions this year?

Save £20 on multiroom by knocking through to the drawing room and knocking two rooms into one by getting rid of the ceiling in the living room

Considering they've just reported annual profits of £1.17bn, I think they're doing OK at the moment.

alternatively, do what i did and move next door to someone with sky and drill a series of holes in the wall, not forgetting to drill a couple of holes facing the shower, bath and toilet, just in case they watch it in there too.

Looks like a few 'extras' required. Phoneline at the moment is not bt so that is £11 extra plus whatever they charge for broadband. Also want £199 for each extra HD box plus extra £10 per box for the HD package - so that original £70 is now £70 plus 2*£10 hd packages plus £11 for phoneline = £101, and this is without the broadband!!

Going up £3 too.
I'm as close as I've ever been to telling SKY to stick the whole package.
They are cheeky, greedy basterds that will push it too far with their pricing.

Now you can watch Sky TV without a dish, set top box or long term contract. Subscribe for as little as one month to watch channels live online, with a selection of programmes included to watch on demand. Alternatively you can simply rent or buy individual programmes to see what Sky TV has to offer – with no commitment at all!Laugh

tow NEGOTIATE, phone them, work out want you want to pay and then barter.
Mate of mine recently said he wanted to upgrade to HD they wanted to charge him in excess of £180 for box etcetera, told them to FO and said he was going to Virgin and they said all right he could upgrade for FREE.

i foned sky to cancel 'skysports' when EPL finished...gave me sky+hd free for 6 months, installed by an engineer who very kindly replaced my 'dish' as it was rusty Happy
as for multi-room, i don't see the point...when you can watch sky online with sky player in any room(even the bog)on your pc or laptop.
