Wycombe are a team I like in League 2. A change of manager midway through last season resulted in some improved form but it was too late to keep them in League 1. The manager has a bit of experience in the lower leagues and has made some eyecatching signings this summer.

ahh my favourite boro fan
how are you pal ? must admit even if i wasnt at work id have to be paid to sit and watch boro train ![]() |
|
By:
everyone,s expecting a good season ,but cant see it , think the chances depend on the weakness,s of others rather than any great turnaround at the boro, i,m thinking of picking 2 from norwich, ipswich and sheff utd ew

fancy bradford and southampton! strongly in them leagues to get promoted

I'd echo the Wycombe thoughts, they look sure to be up there. Can't see past Southampton for L1.
|
|
By:
yep i,m with bradford did them last year and got a shocking start, shampton to short must be some value against them
|

if i was a boro fan id stick them in tbh
|
|
By:
no can do dean my mate
in my lifetime i have never backed the boro, as i go to all home games and quite a few away it would really annoy me if we lost and id bet on them aswell, so i cant take the double kick in the teeth, boro winning would always be enough for me |

Shrews and Huddersfield for me, Shrews have a bit of dosh, good sized squad and should be decent enough to win that division, avoiding Bradford because even though they finished strongly they still ended up at the wrong end of the table.
Huddersfield also strengthened their side from last season, Naysmith and Joey Gudjonsson have signed, Novak, Robinson and Rhodes can grab goals between them. Antony Kay is a fantastic player in the middle, think they could go even closer this season after play-off defeat last year |
|
By:
last season i picked hudders and rotherham and they were both so frustrating as much as i enjoyed the bet
both on their day could win away at the best team in the league, then blow a 2-0 lead at home to some crap team |
|
By:
Colchester relegation, the goat go 15/2, plenty of 7s about... no decent signings, poor form back end of last year, 2 wins from 14, uninspiring choice of manager, possible crap surface wont help at home, playing in front of ave 3k...
Exeter v Colchester = banker home win for me @ 6/4... |
|

would not trust rotherham, would love to have ronnie moore back here, but his tactics at times are quite negative, especially when going ahead. We would harldy ever win by more than 2 goals, we would sometimes win 3-0 but i dont think we ever had a 4 or more goal winning margin under Ronnie, I would be surprised if Rotherham managed to win by more than 3 last season, and they probably only won 3-0, 4-1 once or twice despite ending fifth. Goal difference always a problem under Ronnie

Championship fancies; Burnley, Boro and Forest.
1st Division; Saints or Peterbro. 2nd Division; Shrewsbury, Bury, or Wycombe. If I had to narrow it down.........Burnley, Saints, Shrewsbury. |

By:
gary im with you, i would never lay forest not even against barca, but i fancy them then i do back them, cost me fortunes i might add
