can't wait

I know :-). Btw for the whole of prem 92-now, Man City are now the biggest spenders, Can you guess the other top 5?
By:
me too i hope ours is still the same
![]() |
By:
spenders since 92?
Chelsea, United, Spurs, Villa, Liverpool? |
By:
perhaps Newcastle are up there as well?
I should remember to be honest, you can only go a few months without seeing the net spend on here |
By:
Oi its been a year or so!!!
top 5 are City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs and then Villa |
By:
Is there a figure that includes net assets ie if Liverpool were to sell Torres, Gerrard, Reina and Mascherano they could raise at least £115m imo for a spend of £45m?
By:
Not unless someone wants to produce one for all the other clubs aswell. i.e Arsenal net assets if they were to sell Cesc,RvP,Vermaelen,Clichy and so on..
By:
ours4keeps, very difficult to work that out. I suppose the best way is to get the clubs 'insurance' value on these players...
By:
ours4keeps is panicking because liverpool will be shown up for the big spending small achievers they really are

By:
I cant see much change to be fair on Liverpool! or Newcastle :-)
so far this season Newcastle -£1m Pool +6.3m |
By:
they'll probs drop down to third now that city have spent so big
By:
why would I panic
![]() It's just a more illustrative guide. Utd's figures will be massively affected by the sale of Ronaldo so the value of a team's top players while still at the club has a massive bearing. I imagine Chelsea's won't look so good because they haven't renewed their squad and a lot of their big players are the wrong side of 30 and their value will be relatively low. |

Is this the Net Fees and Wages Spend Table (which is relevant) or the Net Fees Table (which is next to useless)?
By:
True again - wages are a huge factor especially with all the bosmans lately.
By:
My guess is that it will be the How Can I Make Wenger Look Like A Miracle Worker Table [;)]
By:
the biggest 5 spenders
city, chelsea, liverpool, man utd, arsenal |
By:
Max and Paddy those figures are difficult to get. Clubs report them in different ways.
By:
can we have net spending from aug 74 till 1978 please
By:
actually spending on players has very little correlation with finishing postions....however total wage spend correlates very closely to finishing postions.
Of course a huge net spend on players means that for most clubs that impacts on the wages they can afford to pay |
By:
Every time your club signs someone, it's an undisclosed fee - so how much more fúcking difficult can it be?!
Or could it be the fact that Arsenal spaff away loads of money on wages that makes you reluctant to do that table? http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/table/2009/jun/03/premier-league-turnover-wages-debt |
By:
Again Max i told you that after Arsenal got caught doing dodgy wage payments through foriegn islands they changed they way they report the wages. Other clubs still dont.
And again you are allowed to do a Net wage table. HHG - maybe/ i havent looked into it. |

DavidBoyMoyes
it has nothing to do with that, Wenger hasnt won anything for 5 years, dont matter about the net spend, he has failed. |
By:
so winning the league cup and finishing 10th would be ok?

NET WAGE TABLE.
