Surely Schalke good value here to beat Bayern at the weekend.  Bayern Munich world cup stars just returned to training today so supercup will come too soon.

This is what Lahm said today..

The newly-married 26-year-old did however express his concerns that Saturday's Supercup clash with Schalke may have come a tad too soon for several of Bayern's big names. "I think everyone hitting top form in the Supercup is doubtful." Asked on whether he gained a few pounds in the last few weeks: "I didn't bother weighing myself, thank god!"

Does anyone have any views on this game?

You can write very well for someone who is French and over 300 years old. Nice username though. Very enlightened subject astronomy is underrated.

Magath always has his players in absolute top condition and fitness, and has crazy intense conditioning sessions which sets his players apart from everyone else. Also that Kuryiani left, the problem was strike power, but they have Raul now who got a brace in a friendly a few days ago.

Schalke will be fitter and more up for this game, and despite the fact they may not have many massive names, you can't put much between the two teams in terms of quality.

So because the whole Schalke team will be in better shape physically, they could be a very good bet!
