When: 01 Aug 10 00:34
yes inters first game ! this is like citys 3 or 4th game..and they have been struggling a bit...I read their really looking forward to this game to get back on the right track and gain confidence by beating the champs.

lineups edge= man city

motivation edge = man city

situational edge = man city

Man City is the play, they should win.

3 fairly poor performances with pretty much the same team against Sporting, New York and Club America.  Not sure I'd be backing us against the European champions with too much money.

I've backed us of course, but only with £20 of mug money.

italian teams are always way behind on fitness terms at this stage of season i think its because their league starts a few weeks later.

Did you use the same analysis for their last game against Club America?  Or will this be 4th time lucky for City?

OH MY GOD

I'm also laying Man City.

I'm stunned at the price personally; just because Inter's frontline isn't all that, doesn't mean they're going to have any trouble at the back.

The thing with City's midfield is, there's no creative outlet, at all. Vieira, Barry and Toure are all decent enough, but they all like sitting back and occasionally joining in with the odd attack. Cambiasso and Mariga (Who's very, very good, even though he's an unknown amongst many)will sit in front of the back four, but I fear they have nothing to do.

The only concern is Adam Johnson cutting in and getting on Chivu's weaker side. I'd have preferred Zanetti on the left, as he would nullify Johnson completely, but there's no other decent right back sadly.

I'm also getting involved with unders.

Wayne Bridge's crossing boggles the mind. Even a colourblind drunk just hitting the ball randomly would find a teammate more often than him.

When: 01 Aug 10 01:17
5 mins City had more possession, no threat to either goal so far.
