this is a completely astounding amount and a highly efficient and well thought out business model.  I would think their strategists must be thinking about charging per transaction, other than commission from winners, unlimately a loser gets to play for free.  They have no real direct competition and i can see this happening.  Great company imo

100 bets per game?  you only do that cos it's free.  If you were charged per transaction, like when trading in stocks and shares, you would not have 100 transactions per game.  It would be a nice revenue generator for BF and would significantly cut the amount of transactions, therefore reducing their operating costs..win win situ

Despite the constant moaning on here about Betfair , the success of the products they provide and the innovations they come up with is testament enuff. Well done the Betfairies.

absolutely true, even the free use of these fora is an added benefit, free entertainment and some betfarians are obviously hooked on these fora, Alex etc.  I'd gladly pay a small transaction charge to use the service, losers as well as winners shud pay  HTH

OP...the majority of the transactions are from robots, and these transcations I assume mean an offer or price change to an offer, not just money being matched.  To charge per transaction wouldn't work as it would price these bots out of the market.
