I am pondering over a United Win @1.6, what do ya guys think?
By:
I managed to back Utd @ 1.72 just after their 5-2 win earlier this week.
I think they have a good chance of winning. I also think, due to the nature of the game and the return of 'Chicharito' (who will be playing 1st hald with Man Utd and 2nd Half with Chivas ) i think backing 'Over 2.5 Goals' @ 1.66 is a good bet... |
By:
has anyone heard any team news on this yet?
Man Utd odds coming in nicely to 1.55 |
By:
Chivas are pretty solid, wouldn't be too excited backing United at this price. United played just two nights ago.
By:
I understand your point - Chivas are not the worst team around but United played pretty well earlier this week and also more importantly - Chivas have an away cup tie to think about on Tuesday next week
By:
True but I read the coach will be playing the same team which started the first leg in the Libertadores semi (at least for the first half) and seems to be taking this somewhat seriously.
Breaking in a new stadium with a full stadium will surely spur on the home side. The more I think about it the more I don't understand the line. We have a United B team on a short turnaround playing one of the best teams in Mexico and they are 1.55? |

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Horangi... you make some very valid points.
I guess i am not a buyer of Man Utd at the current price - luckily i got in earlier in the week @ 1.82. I also have a fairly large bet on 'over 2.5 goals' as i feel that there is likely to be a few goals tonight - i wouldnt be suprised if Chicharito scored in the second half against Man Utd... You are absolutely right about the serious attitude that Chivas are showing towards this game - and the atmosphere (from what i hear on blogs etc) is due to be fantastic! this is an interesting one... |
By:
Chivas is a good attacking team, 3+ looks good but the odds now are reflecting that. The 1.67 you grabbed earlier looks good.
Honestly think there's some value in the 6-1 on the home side, surely they can win this one more then 15% of the time. |
By:
i haven't seen Chivas enough to know whether they are good for a win tonight. To be fair - it also very much depends which united turns up.... the magnificent 5-2 united of mid week or the poor side that lost 2-1 to Kansas City.???
Do you know who Man Utd intend to play? |
By:
Chivas may be attacking, but their forward line is almost non-existant since the little pea left. Solid team though.
I'll be laying Man U on the basis that Chivas would quite like not to be beaten in the first match in their new "UFO-landing-on-a-volcano" stadium, thank you very much, and didn't we just sell you our star player?. If Hernandez is both halves it's not likely to be that much of a serious contest now, is it? |
By:
* playing each half with a different team that is.
By:
I have just heard that apparently Tomas Kuszczak is in goal for Man Utd... (even more of a reason to back 'over 2.5 goals'...)
By:
has to be a home win surely
most mexican teams are jokers but this games all set up for the home side, theres no way theyll be losing this and united will be on big $$$ just to turn up, nothing else is expected of them |
By:
when was the last time man united played infront of a hostile crowd? it mustve been last season
theres every chance thatll motivate them as much as it does the mexicans and therefore the atmopshere can be discounted imo |
By:
what are your thoughts on the 'over 2.5 goals' market clacherholiday2?
By:
Utd will be on naff-all to turn up surely, this match would be part of the Hern deal.
Don't think the crowd will be hostile either, as far as I know they're proud that their star player has signed for Man Utd - they'll be wanting to say goodbye in style at their new stadium. |

Their 2nd team/youth players! They'll **** their pants! Did you see the atmosphere at their game in the week! Jesus! Crazy stuff! [:D] |
By:
the atmosphere will be alot better than in the midweek game, playing a good 500 miles away from home in a giant stadium compared to the first night in the new ground... they couldnt intimidate universitario really
how many were at the game midweek? wiki says the azteca holds 110,000, mustve been about 70-80,000 there |

like all 90 minutes markets i never bet pre off. for that to come in you really need manchester united to score, if both teams are up for it early then yeah pile in |

is it on espn as well or just mutv? post link if its only on mutv cheers

What time does this actually kick of, i have different times ranging from 2.45-4
By:
United have to be a lay here surely! 1st game at new stadium for Chivas and nice relationship between the clubs so draw or home win keeps locals happy, Chivas massive Mexican club full of internationals, United playing with 2nd stringers, and even if 1st teamers do play, they play 1/2 hearted as to avoid missing start of the season through injury.
Mexicans alot more up for this without doubt. Nothing in this for United imo [;)] Big Big Big Lay! |
By:
and before anyone mentions copa liborates, I really do believe they will take this game as seriously to prove a point to the world!
We'll see GL all [:D] |

Is the KO 3:15? Livescore now has it as 4:15 :|
By:
my live feed page had KO at 4:15 also. whats going on?
By:
is Javier Hernandez going to feature much next year? Start games at the beginning of the season or will berbatov be preferred? Thinking about backing him for top goal scorer or is it a poor bet at 50/1?
By:
United won't win here....no way!

Motsie, are you on the British .co.uk version? 3:15 on there. If you're on .com, that's adjusted for European time so is an hour forward.
By:
I heard Fergie say Hernandez would play half for United and Half for Chivas, would BF suspend bets if he does?
By:
4.15 ko by the looks of things. No way this kicks off in 15 minutes when there's still pre match 'entertainment' going on. No sign of players warming up any time soon either!
