The ills of modern football

Young turning down a £45k a week contract to go to one of the worlds biggest clubs preferring to rot in the reserves or go to a smaller club. This shows how out of touch the modern day footballer is when all they care about is the money they earn. When they earn more in a week than most earn in a year they just want more. I mean how much can one person spend in a lifetime?

Anyway, well done LFC for not caving in to the demands of a decent but hardly brilliant player. Players need to realise in many instances their contracts will be smaller than the last one they signed. There is a global recession you know!As more and more clubs go to the wall beacuse of ridiculous contracts and working class fans being priced out of watching their teams then the beautiful game is in trouble [:(]Even Fergie seems to be defendiong the Glaziers despite the fans being unhappy as he is obviously too comfortable!
