Report funkypunk July 29, 2010 12:01 PM BST
the club sponsors pay the club to wear their company name on their tops and advertising hoardings etc...so the clubs get paid, the players get paid.
the brainless football fan then buy's a club shirt with the club sponsor's name on and wears it not only to the game but virtually every where.
the sponsors are well happy with this because they actually have people willing to PAY THEM TO ADVERTISE THEIR GOODS FOR FREE...DOH !
Report LeoOnAHigh July 29, 2010 12:02 PM BST
that's true but you are still advertising the club and design for free by paying for the football shirt, which is a direct contradiction of your arguement.

I don't care if they have a badge on and I am advertising for free, I am wearing something which I like and can afford to wear. If I lived in a bedsit and wore the same clothes daily that were bought from a charity shop, I would be starting a pointless jealousy thread on a Betfair forum advertising the fact I am a knob. LOL - If you think that is a chav I think you are misunderstood, I speak good English, not a sponger (like most on here on benefits) as I am a chemist, along with having a small business which is my own. I do not try and speak like a black man from south London. Have never wore a cap put on sideways (or straight), do not wear tracksuits and I am not a single parent, or do I have a tattoo on my neck/hands. If you think wearing a Lacoste polo shirt with a smart pair of comfy jeans is a chav I suggest you step outside the bedsit.

I hardly know anyone who will wear Lacoste gear because of the price as there is no value for money to some people, so how am I exactly following someone? I buy clothes because I like them (which could also include a plain t-shirt from next), and can honestly 100% say I do not know anyone who wears what I wear. Other than that I am obviously following these 'lemmings' who I do not know.
