Wigan Athletic player Daniel DeRidder is courting interest from his former club Ajax with team coach Martin Jol quoted as saying that he`d like to bring the wing man back home.

The former Holland U21 international has failed to make any impact at the Latics since following his former Birmingham boss Steve Bruce up the M6 in July 2008 and in his two seasons at the club made just 18 appearances in all competitions.

De Ridder was allowed to go on loan in January 2010 to Israeli club Hapoel Tel Aviv where he enjoyed some success and he featured in 14 games as Hapoel went on to do the league and cup double.

The 26 year old is keen to get his future sorted and a move to Ajax would suit not only De Ridder but also the Latics as they look to free up some places in the squad.

Quality player but enjoys the perks to much to ever show his skills
