This may look like an easy thing to say after the event - Rams won 1-0 - but it's worth remembering that the Premiership teams are usually a week behind in their pre-season than those outside the top-flight. This, for example, was Derby's penultimate pre-season friendly and players are no doubt keen to impress at this late stage to get a start on opening day.
