i think a lot hinges on if pratley goes or stays, they might struggle without him

I am pretty sure you could have had Nigel Adkins suprised you didnt go for him.

I'm not.  Swansea have been playing the style of football that Brendan Rodgers wants his sides to play  since Martinez was there.  He is the right man for the job imo.  They desperately need to find a goalscorer and if they do then the current price is very attractive.  That said, the loss of Britton and the lack of incoming players so far is worrying.  Scott Donnelly ffs.  He'll suit the style but surely they can aim higher than him?

As far as I can see he is mates with good managers so has got jobs. I have seen no evidence so far to suggest he is a good manager himself.

I agree with Ingenious, Rodgers undoubtedly thinks he's better than he actually is. Thinking man's Iain Dowie anywon?

He did ok at Watford didn't he?  Disappointing spell at Reading but I'd not write him off on that basis.  Was evidently highly thought of at Chelsea.  He may turn out to be someone that is more suited to coaching than management but it's too early to make a judgement.

That spell at Reading is the worry, they seemed to do rather well after he'd left, despite looking like a pub side when he was there. Time will tell...
