A few years ago I was passionate. I'd watch Boro v Blackburn on a  Monday night just because it was on. Watching some Spanish game on a Sunday night involving 2 teams I'd never even heard of was common.

Now the only thing I care about is one club and I obviously will till the day I die but I'm not as obsessed as I once was.

I used to love the banter with opposing fans each day but nowadays I cant be arsed. Its all horseshit.

Football to me is dying.

I can empathise, Mr E, the finance is becoming out of balance, almost out of control, epitomised by this Manchester City nonsense...

Sheer greed, wanting it all almost instantly...No real patient building going on, nothing that I can respect anyway.

Defensive mentalities too prevalent at World Cup, fear of losing choking the joy out of the game...

Too much money, too much commercialisation, too 'sanitised'...

Yes, I can relate to your disillusion...

But at least our club has a way of playing we can be proud of....

Danyo, I object to any club relying on paying inflationary prices, throwing their financial weight around, indulging in a kind of business bullying.

Very little to do with sport, a lot to do with greed and egoism.

Ugly state of affairs...

Perhaps, just as greed was/is at the root of the world financial crisis, it will also eventually cause similar disruption to the football racket....
