Now I know there must be stresses involved but it's not a bad job is it?

I am sat here on my day off staring at a 10 day run of work with no time to myself or family for 25k a year. And what am I doing on my day off? Work that I have not had time to do because we are short staffed.

Fair play to you all.

Went back to no discipline, layed a 10/1 football team away in european qualifiers and they won. Thought it was free money but still living and learning. Was down to £100 but on way back up, currently on £230 with mixture of £100-£30 greens on the right place on the fulham market. Got on sven at 18's just before jol didnt take job. I am tempted to increase my bank to 1k still but maybe I should try and build this up and test my discipline

Hi Sticky - do you have a thread on general betting where you post your bets?

Also, is a bank of 9.5k enough for you to make regular profits?  Or are you 'bank building' and have a target in mind?

Cheers and Good Luck.

9.5k should be more than enough

watched bit of that tennis game sticky. Shedova just didnt want to win. 3-0 up in that tie break and through it all away. She did trade lower at 3-0 up in tie break though so hope you traded out. Tennis prices are crazy with every point

A lot of unempoyed people gambling full-time mistake that for being one of these fabled professional gambler types. A consistent £2000 a month clean profit would require a fat bank and a hefty dose of luck.

I've read a couple articles on professional gamblers and from what I can gather they are big banks who can afford the chase. No one ever seems open to discussing the detail of their earnings either.

no full time gambler gets involved in "the chase". Good to see you still here alesi.

The main full timers are in the golf and cricket forums.

Haha golf and cricket! Is that because they played those at boarding school? You need some serious monies, the 2 guys I read about had inherited their wealth. Not saying over a period of time you can't show profit but to make a consistent living of 24k/annum is a non starter for most.

Sttarted 3 or 4 years back with less than a £100 and got up to just under £4k around March this year but back down to 2.5k now.

Kicking myself for laying out of so many of my bets when i thought it was all going tits up as 82 out of 89 of my bets actually won.

Change of strategy  for me this coming season and hopefully i can hit the 10k mark.

I would love to do it for a full time job, think i need about 35k in my bank to do it safely but not sure if i would have balls even then.
