He does not fit the criteria and it is safe to lay him all day.

Experienced safe hands.  If the new manager is under 45 then I am a dutchman.

What clubs has Bilic ever managed aside from Hadjuk Split for less than 6 months?
Report Winner_Winner_Chicken_Diner July 25, 2010 10:46 AM BST
an ambitious growing club would suit an ambitious young manager to help try and take them to the next level

^ "an ambitious growing club"... Fulham ?

i don't see that at all myself...i see a club that is content with staying in the premier league...i also see them struggling this season especially if they appoint the wrong guy.

Al Fayed has sold harrods, has the cash to invest, has done so on the team and they are starting to look a really decent outfit. With the right manager they will keep improving

If he sold Harrods for £1.5bn to invest in a mid table team he needs his head testing...

the whole concept of ambition seems to bypass your brain paddy
Report paddys revenge July 25, 2010 12:19 PM BST
lol...throwing money at it the way forward then, cashing in a succesful global business and air charter company to pump funds into a mediocre football club...ambition or blinkered?

I'm sorry but Fulham are not an ambitious growing club. They are a stable Premier League who punched above their weight in Europe just like Middlesbrough did before they went south.

Nobody knows how they will get on this season. It seems the general concensus is that they will regress though, which I agree with.

You think they'll finish lower then last season?  Without European football they should be top 10 again.  But yes overall they are not an ambitious growing club.

I think that Zamora had the best season of his Premier League career by a mile and I put that down to Hodgson getting the best out of him, man managing him in the right way. I think Zamora will go back to his bad ways and it's not far fetched to think that they could get dragged into a relegation fight this year.
Report Horangi. July 25, 2010 3:42 PM BST
Unless they lose a few of their key players I find it hard to see them battling against relegation.
