Anyone out there want to back Wolves to go down? Best bookmaker price seem to be a general 9/4, so I've stuck up £2000 @ 3.4 if anyone wants some. Beats 9/4 even if you're on 5% commission.

Wolves won't go down, far worse teams in the league than them.

Agreed

we're also prepared to spend (not silly amounts, but fair amounts) comapared to all our rivals (newcastle, wba, wigan, bolton, pool)

They'll be alright aslong as they hold onto their £50m striker

As a Sunderland fan I was impressed with Wolves both times we played them last season,we beat them 5-2 at home but that didn't tell the whole story, they were very impressive and personally I fancy Wigan to struggle badly this season

Stoke and Fulham to struggle too.

Mackem, leave it out...EVERYONE knows that Wolves are a long ball /park the bus team and Mick McCarthy is simply a one dimensional throw back compared to the best coaches in England like Hoddle etc.

I'm certain that McCarthy wants to leave a legacy of being relegated from the Prem more times than any other manager. For that reason alone it has to be a back.

Wolves will be fine Fletcher is a good signing (even if overpriced by 2m) him and Doyle will keep them up.But say bye to Blackpool who will not reach 20 points with that piss poor squad and West Brom and Wigan.

Hammer, agree Fletcher is a good signing if only to bring out the fire in Sylvan Ebanks Blake. I might be wrong but SEB is potentially a very good striker. As a Wolves fan I am naturally pessimistic given even some decent home form we should be OK ,can't rely on our away form again.

Ebanks-Blake was top scorer in back to back seasons in the Championship. I believe he started last season injured and just couldn't get going. Potentially a very good player I think too.
