Why would it be worrying for United fans? Their major summer signing was a free transfer last year (Owen) and they have already done their dealings at the end of last season.

The majority of Premiership sides are so negative now, they are only looking out for players with defensive tendencies, that is the problem.

If that's true about saving on the wages then that is the most backward thing I have seen in a while. Surely they would pay the extra few weeks wages so the player can bed in during pre season.
