Other than pre-kick off, the only time I trade during a game is at HT. I want to make sure I'm closing my positions a little before the second half kicks off again.
Rather than monitoring streams or Bet365 or live score sites to find out exactly when the first half has finished I do this:

When the first half finishes the Half Time market gets suspended so I start the stopwatch and give myself 12 minutes.

I find geeks toy slow at times, suppose dont really matter if you doing before ko,ht.

Following your school boy error of not understanding how markets move during half time, your best bet would have been to admit you made a mistake and thank your forum friends for their assistance. But how do you know whether a price will come in or go out? I always thought that there would be consistent factors but have to find them...
And also sometimes it goes one way and then bounces back so you can't even rely on waiting to see which way it moves and then following! It's incredibly frustrating in my experience - though there seem to be enough people who have worked it out to suggest there is something in it.
Rocket is correct in what he says, odds do move and quite a bit at half-time, but obviously not as much as when a goal is scored, but even SLY ar*eholes surely must know that.

Are you talking about, say, using First Half Goals rather than Half-Time 1x2? If so, why?
