I can just see it. "I really WANT to play for this club Pompey, they've been in my family and blood for....er....2 weeks. I love them"

Face facts mate, no player (rare anyway) plays football for the love of the team/game these days.

You didn't like the team which won your first major trophy in 58 years?
Report Unique19 September 2, 2009 3:08 PM BST
i am thankful for the team but they got us into debt

I prefer players who love the club and fans and now we have those
Report J2BLUE. September 2, 2009 3:10 PM BST
Yea players like Tommy Smith came for the fans and the massive club rather than the increase in wages :^0

You're a tinpot little club. No one would choose to play for you if they had the choice of going somewhere like Spurs/Everton and yes, before you say it, we're tinpot as well. I'm ok with it :)

as a player he was mocked for his lack of intelligence to think he can become a successful manager is laughable. He struggles to string a coherent sentence together

he was at Wycombe and couldnt get them promoted, Peter Taylor comes in and gets them up straight away. Then does nothing at Colchester

Hi charles et al. Yes still here.

Not bitter, embarrassed or anything similar. Norwich and Leeds are streets ahead of the rest. Colchester are a mid div team that have been fighting above their weight. Unfortunatley the bubble appears to have burst but if we can scrap away we might get a play off (not confident). Have seen them a few times this year and they've been dire.

Yeah you stuffed us, but so what, you should be beating teams like us every week with what you've got at your disposal. Before gloating too much just remember what league you're in, I'd be more worried about the fall from the good years than shouting from the rooftops about being above Colchester in the league!
Report canaryboy January 23, 2010 6:32 PM GMT
