Take this test. Step off the tube 20 times. Count the number of immigrants who barge on before you get off and count the number of whites. You'll be amazed. They have no manners.
For the benefit for the forum i will take the test over the next 2 weeks. Why that long you ask?
Well 1stly i think we need a greater sample size than 20.
2ndly we have to factor in what tube stop i am getting off and on 20 times vis a vi demographics.
So if you see someone on the underground behaving rather oddly, waiting for trains but seemingly not that will be me.
I'll report back as i go

Templeton Peck The sample of 20 is a little small but depends on how busy the stops are. You should count the number of white people and the number of black/asian people at your door. Then count the number who barge on. After you've done your 20 stops you will have something like: 80 white people; 5 barged on 50 black/asian people; 30 barged on. You may scoff but it's true and there's no explanation but a lack of manners. |

I believe the Appendix 2 was something along the lines of including foreigners in general. If my memory serves me right then the consensus was Spaniards are less courteous than Swedes.
My only concern with your test is that you may be a little biased. But I am glad someone decided to take my test and inform me of the results. Will be nice to get some firm stats on it. Although it does sound like a thinly veiled 'I've been doing the test and by jove he's right. Must start again but maybe just using tube stations near some African/the Pakistan embassies/embassy where they are more likely to be polite' thread. |
