Lost £130 backing Hibs to win earlier, so have £500 on Arse @ 2/5 to chase. Never bet more money, and I'm ****ing bricking it, even with them 3-0 up...

A very large and Painful one on England vs Australia (10k) in the cricket when the match looked like it was going to be a draw! Got back from the pub and lumped on - woke up sober 5 hours later to realise what I had done!

Lost the previous months profits!

400 quid twice...both on footie and both 1/4 shots...both won, but the 2nd one was scary as the team i was on only won 1-0, and their opponents hit the woodwork 3 times and missed a couple of sitters...

biggest single bet was £720 on France to beat Senegal in the WC.

Had liability of over £2k on here a few times but thats multi player fields

Biggest liabilities are always on the spread
Report Six Eyes November 7, 2009 6:02 PM GMT
Most of my bets are the same. Lay the draw after 40 minutes or so if still nil-nil. Several times risked £4k though after losing £4k in a a European match featuring Arsenal about 2 or 3 yrs ago I've never risked so much again. Saying that, my recent P@L shows I lost £1,890 on 12 Sept when Olympiakos drew with Kavala. My losses are always more memorable.

I had £100 on Trezugeut FGS in that game (wide by a bawhair) and had £200 on a France win. Was just after my 1st kid was born and had been on a hell of a winning streak, so was feeling invincible....

Nipped out on my lunch break to watch the game in a boozer with some lads from the office, was on my knees as Senegal scored, ended up with a barmaid saying I shouldn't be taking it so serious - then my workmate told her I'd just done £300 and had a new kid - she was still nagging me about it weeks later

£700 on sheff wed @ 4/7 v sheff utd a good few years ago. If memory serves me right it was a monday night live game on sky. 1-1 with just a few mins to go and Paulo Di Canio popped and scored a winner. I don`t think i slept a wink that night. I must have been mad.

I've always found the euphoria after a big win lasts a few hours or so though the gut wrenching feeling after a big loss lingers for about a week. Prefer to stick to smaller bets or bigs ones only out of winnings.

when living in Canada had $1000 on a horse in a harness race (a tip)

It won easily but couldn't believe what I was watching thought it was a normal horse until I saw the race.

£470 on Arsenal to score 4 or more today. Shame I layed nearly all of it off.
Report Rictus1 November 7, 2009 6:15 PM GMT
£900 of winnings over a day on colo colo to win, 20 secs to go, 1 nil up and attacking.....then it was 1-1. 18 though so meant more to me
Report Are you sure ? November 7, 2009 6:16 PM GMT
Thing is sheff wed won 2-1 but i had terrible nightmares about it. It took me 9 weeks to build a bank of £700 and i thought backing sheff wed was like having my own" hole in the wall"
