Advantageous situation for Tie betting - do the odds change to reflect?

Only watched a few games of X Baccarat, but wondered do the odds offered by the bots / Betfair at the opening of each game vary according to shoe composition, or are they not that clever?

If they are not that clever then John May's system of counting odd cards as +1 then betting tie at the end of the shoe if count of odd cards =160 might be of interest.  A situation that only occurs rarely so would need a bot running 24/7 to exploit it.
