Either Betfair have decided to make more profit on their liquidity, or all 3rd party market makers have left the games.

And punters were still matching at the cr@p prices, like there was no tomorrow.

I thought you believed that there were no more 3rd party market makers ?

Well I do believe that, but not 100% certain, so I just offered it as an alternative possibility.

For the first time ever I was able to get matched at value prices yesterday.

I put money in at 1 tick better than the displayed odds in R1 of holdem.

So I placed a back at 4.06 and a lay at 3.94.  This money appeared at the best price on both sides of the market.  But amazingly it wasn't evenly matched on any games, even though all hands were being back/layed in the first round.   Basically the Betfair money appeared first at the inferior price. When my money appeared a lot of punters had already taken their requirements, so my better priced money was left unmatched.   Amazingly I still managed to make around £200 with minimum stakes due to uneven matching and a bit of luck.

This experience just reinforced my belief that under normal circumstances it is impossible to get money into the games unless you are Betfair or have their special coding available.

Well at least they didn't " fix" the games so that your unevenly matched opening bets/lays lost you money.
Proves something I suppose.

If they are providing liquidity (which means they win when we lose?) how come they are still charging us commission? We are primarily now exchanging with betfair...
