So, the guys (or just guy?) at X-Feeder introduced the "channel_trend" variable first, and then later on the 'Time Machine' feature. Only problem? Almost everybody is following the "trend" and switching between Test Mode on/off. Therefore, almost nobody will use the Time Machine once it's out of beta and commercial! Talk about bad timing...
Anyway, the solution you dim-witted people ask? Eazy [sic]:
Make two(!) different test funds available and treat one as though it is the real money! Thus, one can even backtest with the trend activated and switch between the "real" test funds and the "supposed" test funds! So, there you have it: a win-win situation!
Now it's up to you, "Feeder", and your (imaginary?) pals!

Cheers!

I agree that would be a very good facility.
The idea is similar to that used in the Amoeba bot, which has a shadow bank.

Hmm, I always thought this "shadow bank" feature was just like the "normal" test funds of X-Feeder. Or isn't it?

No. You can start off in shadow bank and use the simple triggers available to switch to live bank when some conditions are met and this feature can be employed in simulation mode on recorded test files a la Time Machine

In X-feeder when using the channel_trend facility you need to be live betting, since, as you've alluded to, the switch test mode on/off triggers are not operative with Time Machine.

Of course the trigger conditions available in x-feeder are much more comprehensive than Amoeba.

Is anybody going to forward this idea to the X-Feeder guy(s)?

Deus, let's see how it goes. We have too much on our plate right now. If Time Machine proves as useless as you say because of the channel trend, we'll probably assign your advice high priority.
