Darts is a game with no stamina/power etc issues
Errm then why are all the best players big blokes?
Something to do with muscle/fat mass which allows them to throw longer and more consistent?
A small chap struggles to keep his arm from falling off for example

Plus it sounds daft but they have better balance than smaller more nippier bloke who will always be slightly off balance at the oche, because of his slimmer frame
Balance and throwing stamina are two attributes needed in a darts players |

Stephan Lee in the snooker had the best cue action you'll see, not just cue action but the brutal shot power as well, and he was a big bloke with good balance when following through with his cue

You want to be of a certain height in darts, that will hold the women back to some extent. Harder to throw upwards than at your eye level. On other side you don't want to be like 6'6 either, hence why you don't see many tall dart players either.
In reality though what % of people that play darts are men anyway. Like down the pub it must be like 95% men, so there's another reason. |
