If these two legends of the game met, and both players were at the top of their game, who would win? I'd be with the Crafty Cockney any day of the week. Bristow is the greatest darts player of all time, streets ahead of anyone else.

Surely no-one actually believes this. Taylor anywhere near his pomp would have walked all over Bristow. Even the Taylor of now would have been too good for Bristow at his best. Darts has simply moved to another level in the last 20-30 years. Unlike many sports you can actually judge how much better the standard has got by averages. Ok maybe technology of the darts had contributed to some of it, I'm not really an expert in that field, but it doesn't feel like tennis or golf where the equipment has totally changed the game, the game looks to have come way more professional which leads to greater performances.

I am not an expert but didn't Taylor beat Bristow in a BDO World Final years ago?
