Onwards and upwards to the 2nd night and in all honesty it doesn't look the most inspiring evening I've ever laid eyes on. However might be one or two bets to be had so lets crack on and see what's what 
Andy Hamilton v Dave Richardson:
Opening match sees Andy Hamilton take on Canadian qualifier Dave Richardson. Hamilton has been in pretty dreadful form this year not helped by him trading in his missus for a younger model resulting in issues off the oche. His opponent came through the canadian qualifiers so I'm guessing he is no mug but on tv for the first time hard to say how he will cope. However at the prices I'm prepared to take a small stab at him as I really think Hamilton is ripe to be opposed.
Recommendation: 0.5pt win Dave Richardson @ 10/3 (General)
Kim Viljanen v Sascha Stein:
Battle of the qualifiers sees Finland take on Germany ( I think). Don't know anything about either player if I am honest so will put the kettle on at this point and wait on the next match.
Recommendation: No Bet
Peter Wright v Gerwyn Price:
Last year's beaten finalist opens up with a match v a debutant in Gerwyn Price. Wright has been a bit off the boil this year or maybe just levelled off after his amazing rise in the previous 12 months. He's been a lot more inconsistent and I don't think constantly messing about with his darts helps this. A few more knowledgable judges than me really like Price but bar the fact I know he is an ex rugby player I'm not that familiar with him. I think D&B is sweet on his chances but I really don't have a strong opinion about this so will watch for future reference.
Recommendation: No bet
Phil Taylor v Jyhan Artut:
The legend that is Phil Taylor makes his first appearance v the german player Artut. Had a bit of a mixed year has Phil but still won 2 majors and will obviously be the man to beat still in the Worlds. In all honesty Artut shouldn't trouble him at all even though he is a fairly solid player. I toyed with the idea of backing him to win a set but I think I will pass as Phil could easily roll him over without a loss of a leg.
Recommendation: No Bet
Stuart Kellett v Winning Qualifier:
Kellett going to be a strong fav v his opponent I'd guess and he's actually someone who I think has something (not quite sure what it might be an annoying grin when he throws). Until I see the qualifiers it's impossible to form an accurate opinion so will play it by ear.
Recommendation: No bet
Summary: Quiet evening for me with just the one small stakes bet on a lively outsider. All views and opinions welcome though and here's to a lucky evening for most.

THE PDC have released the following statement to clarify the situation in the tie-break at the end of the William Hill World Darts Championship between Wes Newton and Cristo Reyes on Thursday.
Under the rules of the tournament, at five legs all in the deciding set the two players should have thrown again for the bullseye to determine which player threw first in the sudden-death 11th leg.
Referee Paul Hinks initially called for play to continue without the requisite bull-off, before correcting this error.
PDC Tournament Director Tommy Cox has spoken to both Wes Newton and PDPA Chairman Peter Manley today (Friday) and both have accepted that this was an unfortunate situation of human error, which can occur in any sport.
However, the situation was the same for both players and the outcome of the game was not materially affected by this error.
PDC Tournament Director Tommy Cox said: "Paul Hinks is a top class referee who makes very few errors in what is a very demanding role, especially on the biggest stage of all."

very true was poster said earlier (who was it) about ando gave getting ruined by playing in bdo...i did a huge piece on all his world champs stats from bdo to pdc...no comparison.

It's easy watching, but kellett has consistently averaged low 70's all match.

Welshman Burnett, 47, won the British Darts Organisation (BDO) world title in 1995 but will miss the 2014-15 PDC event at London's Alexandra Palace.
Burnett's absence means Stuart Kellett becomes the 32nd seed for the event.

No bookie has priced up player averages apart from betfair. Whenever i check the odds they are 1.01 before a darts been thrown. Anyone know what odds Gerwyn traded at? Thanks.
