Last night's Bunting/Wade encounter was for me the most entertaining game of the tournament so far - although both averaged under a ton, the finishing was tremendous from the pair of them.
We've come to expect it in spades from Wade but not yet from Bunting and that was superb stuff - it's a pity they didn't really have their mega-scoring boots on because that sort of checking out is exactly what's required for 110+ averages.

Furthermore, I have to say that I'm beginning to do a U-turn with Wade as although I've put the boot in on him on numerous occasions (and deservedly so) I've always been well aware of his resolve and his finishing in my opinion is every bit as good when it really matters as Taylor's (if not better) - he lets the rest know the definition of bottle & pressure finishing.

I don't think even Taylor has got his stickability...those gonads enable Wade to be in contention when so often he's being totally outplayed, though in fairness that wasn't the case last night.
I thought he was shíte in the recent win over Merv in The Masters but the two previous wins against Lewis & Taylor were outstanding and I didn't think he had that in his armoury.

What has convinced me recently of Wade's 'new leaf' is the immediate reaction to a defeat...he played well enough to beat all but the elite last night and he seemed to appreciate Bunting's performance with sincere congratulations at the end of the match which was refreshing to see - that's happened a few times this year.

I doff my non-existent cap to Wadey as this new version seems to be a totally different person to the churlish, miserable, bitter, little prick that didn't even bat an eyelid when MVG produced the most staggering couple of minutes in ANY sport that I've ever seen when getting short-headed for back to back 9-darters - I was absolutely dumbstruck by that from MVG Shocked

As for tonight's fare...with only two matches (although lengthy) I can't seem to find a decent bet so I'll save my measly ante for tomorrow and spunk it on the nags instead Crazy

Agree but won't be betting.... Was thinking Kim with 5.5 leg head start but last time I did that in an MVG game I paid for it.

clearly just a matter of time before brown wins ca bigeeee.for n ealier poster to describe the young guy as a bottler is more than harsh, just a lack of being in that situation.
Report TexassportsagentBuzz November 14, 2014 8:40 PM GMT
Yes all that cost him tonight was nerves.  He will get used to the pressure if he keeps playing q-finals
Report sickoflayinwinners November 14, 2014 8:41 PM GMT
im not realy a great fan of hybrechts and obviously mvg is outstanding but purely on how they have performed in this event  the betting is far to lopsided, ive had to lay mvg  here, I expect to mvg will probably win but  theres a chance possibly that he will double in price at some stage to give us a free bet, heres hopingHappy
Report TexassportsagentBuzz November 14, 2014 8:41 PM GMT
Trouble is unless you are ranked top 8 then you have to beat some experienced and quality opponents to even make quarters

Wisewords - SP was about 1.2.  Don't think he could have dipped much below that given how the scoring went.
