Do they actually aim straight for bull, same as they would if they had 1 dart left and 50 to get, or are they that good that they try to adjust away from the bull?
I know that bog standard hobby players would just go for the bull assuming they won't get it and therefore might get lucky and hit outer bull, but what about the top players?
Aim to the left side of the bull - leaves a shot at any double bar the bull. Right side there's a possible 2 & 4 in the equassion.
In reality players aim at the bull when going for 25.
An interesting thread with a world of options for the 65 checkout with 3 darts. I sometimes go for T11, D16...single 11, single 14, D20. Each to their own...some players dont like tops or D16?

I always felt that Taylor at is very best aimed for the 25, but surely 99% of efforts aim for the middle of the bull. 25 Tops has to be a much better %age shot that T11 D16.

It also depends on the situation of the match and what your opponent is on. 2 darts in hand is T15, D10, or S15, Bull. 3 darts in hand most will go for the 25 first dart granted.
1st dart at (T15) 15,10,D20 1st dart at (bull) 25, D20 1st dart at (T11) T8*,S1 wired D20
