Just heard that Gary Anderson isn't part of the Scotland team in this tournament in a few weeks' time - just how can Robert Thornton (on the form of the last six months) be included ahead of Gary (who's definitely turned a corner since his excellent performance in defeat to MVG at the World's) when he's been very erratic for quite some time?
Fair enough, Peter Wright deserves his place after being the runner-up in the World's and some sterling efforts in this year's Premier League but it just has to be Anderson that should be partnering Snakebite, especially considering his recent Premier League form. AND he's now into the semi-final with a great chance of wining the tournament outright...he might even be playing Barney again next week.
I could've understood if Anderson had lost his place in the team for the last two years as he's been awful for quite a long time but his omission defies belief in the light of the recent contrasting form of both him & Thornton - utter madness
Its simply down to rankings which is a 2 year system. The Premier League has no ranking worth and rightly so as its basically just an exhibition for mugs. Anderson is playing great atm, but you are being pretty harsh on Thornton who is also playing out of his skin on the circuit. There isn't really a huge amount between the 3 of them!

i think you have awnsered your own question as to why,his ranking has fallen due to his poor form over the last two years, hence its only fair that the two picked go.even though we can all see improvement lately.
