Dont see how its aftertiming. Its giving an opinion on recent events.

Taylor was 70% of himself all the way through

yea hes done his course hes a legend and hes the reason why every dart players uped thier gamdarts become big againe he help make because they need a super star rather than a load tosh
Report Hoopsthepower77 February 14, 2008 7:52 PM GMT
I agree with Andy L.
Averaging 96 is by no means finished. He'll be back but again, with the likes of Wade, barney and jenks around nobody will dominate this sport like he has again. He's just now having to fight for everything.

The best player that has ever been, unique style, unique dedication to darts.

Still love watching him, he is actually enjoying it now as lets face it , surely it gets boring when you have won everything there is to win in the game bar the televised grand slam!!

power and ther glory ame.
Report Hoopsthepower77 February 14, 2008 7:53 PM GMT
Paris, spot on son
Report The Great Khali February 15, 2008 12:53 AM GMT
If he sorts his doubles out he still has a great chance of winning it. Scoring heavily enough but is now missing more doubles then he used too.
Report NEARCTIC February 15, 2008 1:01 AM GMT
taylor talks as if he is a top athlete or something, all that b ull** diet he was on to get himself fit, didnt do anything, now he has gone back to being just a fat guy that can throw darts, he will never get back to where he was, age has caught up with him.
Report SIRTOMJONES February 15, 2008 8:31 AM GMT

highest averages in prem league so far

1. Phil Taylor 96.79 vs Terry Jenkins
1. Adrian Lewis 96.79 vs Phil Taylor

Federer of darts phil taylor??lol, what a dummy, 1 player has caught up with federer and thats still up for question
Report London Can You Wait February 15, 2008 3:55 PM GMT
Every player averaged over 90 last night - of course the pack have caught Taylor up to some extent, as even he can't consistently average 100.
Report HARRY22 February 15, 2008 4:21 PM GMT
i know, i was referring to federer
Report Moscow Flyer February 15, 2008 7:05 PM GMT
But Taylor did consistently average over 100. Up to last year in the World Champs - He averaged over 100 for the 12 years he played in it !! (I think it was 14 PDC's - 11 wins + loser to Priestley / Part / Barney).

He was miles ahead of the pack.....hes gone backwards more than they have gone forwards.
Report Lozzy February 15, 2008 7:50 PM GMT
Agreed Moscow. Taylor's average has gone down about 8 points I'd guess while the others have improved by perhaps 2 points.
Report Tutter February 16, 2008 10:13 AM GMT
Taylors form is suffering as he is always feckin about with his game. If it ain't broke don't**it.

FINNISHED i tell thee
Report Lozzy February 21, 2008 9:00 PM GMT
When will people realise that the fact he loses every week means that he has deteriorated. Are they REALLY suggesting that EVERYONE has improved that much ? Surely FAR more likely he has lost his talent and that everyone else has stayed the same given that SO MANY people he used to beat are THRASHING him now !
Report Hoopsthepower77 February 21, 2008 9:22 PM GMT
tutter, spot on mate. He has deteriorated not through lack of ability, cus like tatter sais, he has faffed with his darts, his throwing technicque. bring back the purist gold darts. barney learnt his lesson changing his darts, unfortunately taylor is too stubborn to follow suit.

Cheers
Report HARRY22 February 21, 2008 11:54 PM GMT
phil taylor will be back, all he needs to do is hit the gym, get fit and he will be back to his best.he seems to of put on more weight, less kebabs and more on the treadmill, these darts players have no discipline, obsessed with drink and fat greasy food, gym membership is 50quid a month, then maybe they could wear some decent shirts rather than these marquee like tops.
Report Four Leaf Clover February 24, 2008 11:44 AM GMT
He wont be back, his eyes have gone... He should really sit back and retire now. It's getting to the stage where he can't compete. Lost 3 out of 4, ok so he beat Lewis but I dont think Lewis really wanted to beat him, if he was playing someone else he might have won that day.
Report Four Leaf Clover February 24, 2008 11:47 AM GMT

their are two matters that no one seems to have thought of regarding Phil Taylors lack of form and phil taylors sudden return to form.......i have 2 points to make.
1- If you notice when phil was throwing in his apparent lapse of form his grip seemed shaky at best, it was very apparent that his nerves were gone and I think maybe he has found a way of controlling this. im not saying he is taking anything but it seems that when you see his grip now their is no movement in his grip and no shakes, he has obviously got this under control.
2- Darts and money......where does the power make his money. he sure hasnt made enough in prize money to warrant driving a 150 grand car and living the lifestyle he is living...so you look at sposorship. it was predicted that well over a million sets of phil taylors darts have been sold in the last couple of years and im sure phile gets a nice cut, so what better way to make money that have a downturn in form only to suddenly find his form with his new darts that he keeps raving about. sudeenly everyone wants a set. say he makes just 2 from every set...a million sold in 2 years is a nice bit of cash...certainly more than he makes in prize money.

No one realy knows how he has managed to go from so high to so low and back again but I feel that he is playing as well as he ever was and he will win the uk open and the world champs in December and I predict he will make a nice bit of bunce from his new darts that will be on sale at a store near you soon.
