le Tour 2022

Stage 1 TT  Looks like a massive Shock winner matched at 500 Yves lampaert

big surprise there, did he have a semi dry track or just outright faster than the rest, was only partly watching so missed lots of it, cool to see his interview atm he's in shock lol

A bit drier than when the favourites went out but then he won by quite a margin. He got disqualified the previous week for deliberately blocking another rider so his teammate could win

Nice to see Jacobsen win and complete the comeback. Awful crash in Poland a couple of years ago - probably the worst I've seen

Wout van Aert blew them Away

The cobbles stage was epic. Must have been 4 odds on shots in the last km

One of the best days watching I can recall , as they pointed out , a few teams were a bit negative .

Pre race I thought Jumbo Visma needed both of their main men to be fit up to the final mountain stage, already the question is about the seriousness of Roglic's injury.

Pogacar going to win this race again easily

Looking forward to the annual disagreement about top teams desparately pulling to get on the podium while pogacar gets a free ride behind them!

Although tbf jumbo had UAE working today. Not sure why its the yellow jersey doing the attacking but still it was something

Tadej Pogacar to win todays stage easy - 3.1 free monies

pretty deflating for vingenguard to lose like that, he looked ready to collapse over the line too, I felt like that finish from pog is a huge mental defeat for vingenguard

it was good to see Roglič finding some form - he and Vingegaard might at least be able to test Pogocar. Anyone can have a bad day in the mountains - Roglič is due a bit of luck in this race

roglic won't do anything this tour, he's in a lot of pain constantly apparently after his fall, wouldn't be surprised to see him drop out before the end of the race. you could tell how easily pog dropped him the other day he has no real chance this year. also 1 less rider to support vingenguard now, at least for jumbo visma he can still compete with pog but didn't look good for him the way he finished yesterday.

van aert looks a shoe in for the points jersey this year now

Not really been watching the main presentations this year, but is today comedy microphone day? Gary Imlach seemed to have a bit of pink candy floss glued to his cheek, and the two guys in the shed had headsets with the biggest Microphones ever, and a bag of chips on the desk between them.

Crazy Finnish today , 3 of them looking at Each allowed another 6 Riders including Cort to get back in the race at the Finnish

wow pog been getting attacked again and again, soaks it up then drops roglic and thomas..

Pog Gone , I bet Nairo

6-1 Pog Outright

wow did not expect that, vingenguard looks solid

those attacks earlier took their toll maybe, I'm not sure why pog chased them down so quickly, he didn't really need too

Some result that , Amazing ride by Vin blowing away Climber after Climber

Big Day tomorrow can Pog respond

yeah, hard to see how with so few team members left

didn't expect this today

was today just a bad day for Pogacar or representative of his overall form - I suspect the latter

Laid Pidcock at 3 with 60kgs to go

stabbed pidcock at 10.0 for stage 17. pogs running out of chances to take some time out of vingengaard, gonna have to attack again today but not sure he'll be able to do much. temperature is a lot lower there today so he might benefit from that a bit.

pog only gained 4 sec, not good enough, mcnaulty was phenomenal though, wonder how he'll look like tomorrow though..

brilliant ride from vingegaard today, and great sportsmanship with waiting for pog after his fall, also did amazingly well to stay on his bike after that close call. not sure how much the fall took out of pog but getting dropped like that was pretty rough for him.

So never a bad day in sprints and mountains Wout Van Aert and team Jumbo Visma look much more like drug cheats than Froome and Team Sky ever did. So why aren’t French fans throwing urine at them? Anti-English feckers?

well, they are all on drugs, maybe ppl realise this now

It probably helps if you're at least entertaining (as the current aliens generally are) rather than sucking all life out of the race and boring everyone into oblivion

a lot of it was in november, $70k not that much for some of the possibilities, maybe somebody hedging a long term stock position or something. seems like most of the volume is pretty regular and comes in early ish each month which is interesting.

**** wrong thread

Another win for WVA, surely the key rider of the whole three week race. He's turned into an absolute beast, now he just needs to stop finishing second in the big one day events.

yeah outstanding from him. tour was won when ving and rog separated pog from everyone else and just took it in turns attacking him I think.

good tour this year though.

Wout van Aert an absolute beast and machine lol. We've heard it all before. Indurain and Armstrong were also superhuman. Yeah, right. Fastest average speed in the history of the Tour. Beats the drug cheat years yet they're all clean? ASO want TV revenues so fast, aggressive racing is ideal. Turn a blind eye to cheating and throw in the odd high profile drug raid against teams you don't like to make it look good. The 'sport' is a joke but there are always mugs paying to be entertained so it works as a business.

WVA on the Hautacam stage was one of the most ridiculous performances I've ever seen and that's a pretty high bar. The mostly flat, mostly headwind TT yesterday was also a bit of an eye-opener. Despite what the mouthpieces say, cycling will never change - it will always be a question of what you can get away with - same as any sport. It would be interesting to find out what's going on in the peloton currently but nobody seems very interested in finding out
