Lovely bloke and much missed on Eurosport in recent years. My folks knew him well (they were in the same cycling club in the 60s) and were still in touch

 only just seen this....spent many a memorable day listening to his ramblings, filling gaps for five hours before the final climbs. Always enjoyed it though...RIP |
