Beating up a largely second string India followed by a Sri Lankan team who aren't even household names in Kandy or Colombo doesn't really cut it for me.

Rankings mean very little (except in Test Matches maybe), winning tournaments is what counts. The next T20 WC is two years away, much may change by then.

I used to love 20/20 when it first was played here, i was at Maidstone when Andrew Symonds hit an amazing ton in 34 balls in 2004 (world record at the time).
I never expected it to reach overkill which unfortunately it has, at least for me

Back to the cricket. I still like the domestic 20/20 competition and just wish it had been remarketed instead of inflicting the Hundred on us.
Kent always get good crowds and other counties do too. A deal could surely have been done to show the games on BBC and the games would only have lasted another half hour. Franchise cricket just leaves me cold. Of course it was always going to go this way once money took over the sport, but there's just no connection for me.

I fear the county set up may be on borrowed time but in the meantime will enjoy the last knockings of this season, it has really been a good one imo but has had hardly any decent coverage in the media. A three horse race for Div One going to the last round of matches and Kent & Northants going for the remaining promotion slot in Div Two, great stuff
