Spectators are being cheated, Stupid delays that are not made up for. I would suggest adding playing time as follows (perhaps witha 7.30pm limit):

Ball change 10 mins
Request for ball change denied 2 mins
Injury treatment 5 to 15 minutes
Game not starting by first ball being bowled at 11am  3 minutes per minute delay
3rd umpire referral 3 minutes
Drinks 6 mins

And: 14 overs per hour not delivered (allowance for dismissals) : add enough overs to reach a 84 over total

Anyone wanting to increase them or add to the list please feel free. Current situation a total disgrace.

7pm is enough, especially in the seam friendly countries, Eng, SA, Aus, NZ
Doesn't go dark in those countries early either

I would just shorten lunch and tea breaks or start earlier and play later although this may not be the answer either as teams could manipulate play to work in more favourable conditions.

What Crawley did today was against the spirit of cricket but that is what you do like bowl round the wicket to roughen it up.

Just play until the 90 overs are up.

No need for anything else.

Correct barstool. That is the obvious answer and in most months of the year that is easy to achieve. If they can play until 7pm after rain, they can do so every day other than bad light. If 90 overs is enforced, I would fully expect them to speed up play.

7.30

1 fit bowler left after 5 tests, they play the most of any other sport.

Racing ,6 times 2 minutes,12 minutes of sport, and the horse does all the work.ha ha.

Maybe letting bowlers rest, with subs fielding could be looked at,likeNFL,attacking formations and defensive formations.

Crazy a bowler does 6 overs at 90 mph, then has to chase a ball to stop a 4 being a 3,then injures himself diving.
It’s a health and safety issue, let the bowlers rotate, using subs to field, can’t see an advantage either way.
