Is it really as bad as the commentators on Sky & TMS have said?
My radars suggest it was to rain 6am until 8.45am then dry but breezy.

Yeh that would, but once the overs are allocated after the rain they have to bowl them all, unless there are more rain interruptions.

Strange micro climate, protection from rain sometimes because of the Pennines.
Really tough to call it but I would expect some rain around midday
