I think it is a big mistake. They should be paid out of revenues they derive. I Can understand money spent investing in women's cricket and paying salaries. coaches grounds but it must support itself.
I believe that women's football in Amrika could generate more money than men's football certainly for International Football. They have a huge untapped market and thousands of girls who play football who are looking for heroines and sponsors would pay them well. If women's football derives more money than men's football will they be happy subsidising their men? Women tennis players can earn huge sums for whatever reason players like Sharapova and Sabatini earned millions. This is a mistake. I play cricket. I would like to earn the same as a woman test cricketer. Why shouldn't I be paid the same? |

15,000 quid for a test match isn't huge money.
Could probably get that bowling a wide off first ball after lunch. |

Not long ago the women's team was beaten by an Under 19 Boys team.
