Disgusting stuff, the 3rd ump should have intervened
She had no intention of bowling that ball

Which comes to another point, why is she allowed to feign running up and bowling the ball without releasing it with monotonous regularity!

Before she bowls Kaur signals  to knock the bails off. Umpires should have looked at footage

Fkin disgraceful. I don't care if its within there rules, it's not sportsman ship. Rules need to change if that's allowed. I hope she gets slated and cant sleep at night.

I'm not even convinced it was technically right to give it out. As soon as the bowler failed to release the ball then why isn't that a dead ball? That's what normally happens if they don't deliver it due to some other distraction.

Then how do you Mankad someone?

But I kinda agree with your point.

I would say Mankadding is legit in white ball but there should be a warning first. After the warning then it should be fair game.

I see the comment about warning first. Not normally a cricket fan I was enjoying watching the match. I was very disappointed about how it ended.

At school we had a teacher who was very good at cricket. We did have some coaching about fielding and running between the wicket was mentioned at one time. If you were not that far from the wickets when you were about to field a ball that had just been hit he said glance towards the players running. Often due to the non-striker backing up the batsman was moving slower than the non-striker. If there was a chance to run out the player running towards the bowler's end then scoop the bowl up and in the same action aim it in an underarm throw at that wicket. He said where a non-striker is often moving forwards before the bowler completes his delivery he said the bowler should warn that player that if he continues doing that he will be run out.

Perhaps now with the involvement of women in the modern game and in the context of this match instead of writing "he" above it should be "he/she".
