wouldn't disagree Rob but even 15-20 runs plus the time are huge - forecast for tomorrow is variable so there's a helluva lot of guessing being factored in (more than usual)

I'd never have thought it a few years ago but I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that Mr. Holding's commentary is outdated and smacks of the blind it was better in my day attitude. the patterns of weather at play means it's a huge amount of guessing, relatively fast moving sporadic showers, heavy in places ...

Has poured down 15 miles west of the ground in the last hour. which is pretty much where the weather normally comes from. Has stopped in last 10 minutes but still very grey think the light even with floodlights would be marginally to dark to play in at the moment.

met office forecast has declined again quite badly though tbh they haven't been especially accurate throughout...

radar suggest they might need some luck to avoid a heavier shower shortly

could be a very late finish if there isn't enough rain for it to be called early

Trent Bridge force field not working as well today, looks a high chance of catching one of the bigger showers though a bit of distance to be travelled yet, could still break up..

Serious downpour down the road now if this hits trent bridge it will be game over.

met office now saying clear after 4pm - can play to 7.30pm (I think) or indeed beyond if over rate is slow but on the back of the somewhat unforecast drizzle rather than showers the outfield could start to be an issue if the heavier stuff does hit, currently still looks on target to hit...

It's when you hear past clips that you miss the characters like Bumble, etc (though I could never abide Blowers). These days everything seems a bit more sanitised. How long was it for that Bumble got away with things like referring to "the Sky Ladies and Girlfriends" for instance?

I'm keeping umbrella watch in the background of FalconCam. We might have had the worst of it already.

Hi Brentford,always on the draw but got twitchy and took a sizeable red before India got batting,forecasting has been hazardous,however lumped on this .morning and hoping it's done, for a small green that would feel like a win

could still turn into a great finish if India only get something like 20-25 overs at it...

I don't know if it has a movement sensor or if it is manned but the first cam late yesterday was facing the opposite way and was zoomed in on the very far end of the building where the falcon was weirdly standing on the ledge facing the building but with it's head turned completely round the opposite way looking outwards. When the falcon finally left the camera zoomed back out and some time earlier today switched back to the similar view as camera 2. The falcon itself seems to like hiding under the ledge when it rains. I was never remotely interested in such things until this match but Notts Wildlife Trust has a whole history of the family. Apparently last breeding season the male put his own niece in The Pudding Club, the randy little rooster.

sadly this ground has phenomenal drainage and an hours play possible by the looks of it.

What radar sites are everyone using? I find meteoradar really clunky and stupidly designed.

have had 3 or 4 open at times...all the usual suspects tbh ...free ones ..I quite like meteo though use the sat as well as it's often as useful

super soapers out but by the time they inspect I feel that huge storm is going to hit.

Which sites? My links are all on my old (broken) computer.

sat 24, met office, none of them are any better than meteo imo - just sometimes useful to see a different style of graphic...you can go blind staring at these things too much you know !

Forecasts have all been rubbish.

yep, been a lot more light persistent stuff than most projections had...they've actually lucked out on some bits that could have ended it already

1.03 draw layers could have tripled their money in just a few minutes.

In terms of odds movements this has been a very good trading match.

first significant signs of top surface puddles outside of the square, though small in size but Eng get to play the safety card if it that is too damp...

Slightly comical that they've switched coverage from a match with no play due to rain over to a match with no play due to rain.

At least I converted a very large draw red to a small green. Was fairly decent even green across the board earlier today though - spunked a lot of it hoping for a trade back - very frustrating not to get any play at all.

£1950 profit here. Just frustrated with that last trade out...

yeah don't think washout was on the cards, equally considering how weather oriented the market had been it got very draw lay happy late yesterday - no logic to that...

Thanks - not as easy to find webcams as you'd think but that one had a useful close-up puddle view plus background street detail all in one.

It's been years since I made that kind of profit on a single match. Mind you I've been in temporary reds of that kind of order of magnitude twice recently due to rain and been grateful to trade out for a token green. I always remind myself that money not lost has the same value as money won (relatively more so if you Kelly-bet) so I try to even up before the fifth day, but couldn't resist the odds in case they got on for a session.

I know what you mean, you go high red on short odds to reverse a bad bet to try and level or go green. This is my biggest cricket win since Lords 20 August 2006 incident.

i think that was a £3500 win. England were 10/1 and I put £350 on them when pak failed to play. I intended to trade out but the market was suspended and they paid up as an england victory.

took a while for the payout though Lend' 

would have almost certainly been voided now...and probably should have been then imo...

Glad I took the green on this one. Was away for the weekend and thought Friday was the dodgy day. Saturday and Sunday were supposed to be good.

England are a shambles at the moment and need leadership as well as changes.

Hameed and Malan come in for me for Sibley and Crawley. A spinner, really should be Leach sla against rhb of India but Moen is also a wild card choice as our batting is so carp and we cannot as yet balance out The Ginger. Broad or Curran should make way. I am still not a fan of Butler in this format. His wicket keeping is not anywhere near good enough for me and he is still a white ball cricketer albeit a great one.

Not sure of bowler fitness and who is being rotated and rested! I know Foakes is out but he would never get the nod ahead of Butler.
