Morning ladies. Gone for runs here. 309 is gravy for me today. Still a long way to go. Interesting to see how the spinners fare today.

Surprised to see 2.6 on England here. Very sedate stuff on a docile pitch.

KL out of nick, no Pant, Thakur at eight - and a very tardy start. England not far from a coin toss here for me

Think you might be right. There may be some dew later too. Looks very easy paced but India are following their formula.
Wow that was lucky for Dharwan! I agree with Kholi to some extent on Umpires call. I accept it is tough for the umpires but this Umpires call ruling is a little dodge and can unbalance an even contest. I have noticed at times one side seems to get the best of Umpires call. It is a lucky situation but I am not sure what the solution is. |

I might be inclined to wait for better odds. India are going to have to give it some humpty soon although buying in above 2.8 is not a bad call. I am sticking with runs.

I don't understand the perceived lack of trust in ball tracking. Not sure I can remember *anyone* ever expressing any doubts about their faith in it.
Therefore - if it is hitting, it is hitting. Remove the ambiguity of Umpire's Call. The umpire gets to make their call still, and the limited number of reviews means they are not rendered an irrelevance. (Which pacifies anyone suggesting it makes on-field redundant) |

Got a feeling India’s odds could be a lot smaller in 20 mins time

It is difficult with Umpires call because as an Umpire there is always an element of doubt and that doubt imho should go to the batsman. I think for it to go to straight 51% hitting would be fair on both sides if they accepted it but I am a little old school and believe in the doubt as far as the human eye / brain is concerned. I do think the situation though does need to be resolved.

I think if you want to back Engerland now you might as well wait. There is going to be a thrash soon. Might get 4-1 who knows on England but it is a bit like Russian Roulette. I would rather throw a smaller amount at a Hail Mary play later on in the game.
