After reminding myself how Aus scored nearly 700 here last year I might well jump on the draw.

Pitch looks neutral to my eyes, nothing startling. |

I'm not a pitch reading expert but I would have thought a spinner would look dryer than that does^^^ |

For a change I've laid the draw at 6.2. As normal just a guess.

Sheffield Shield results point to possibility of a draw, so I'll be looking to keep that onside at the start...if India bat first on a road I cant see them making any declarations given that they are on the brink of making cricket history...

By:
Agree. india would want to bat once and bat big for one more reason now.

I saw a picture of a pitch that looked dry. Green in certain areas but also no grass on crease areas and follow through areas which worries me. As long as there is no collapse from the team batting first I would absolutely lay the fielding team particularly if if us Australia. I expect a big score from the team batting first and maybe even a decent reply but then I di think the ball will dpi. But his much, how fast and how will the bounce be?
I don't trust any comments if the groundsman. To be fair to them though they always try and produce decent cricket wickets and do not intentionally produce home wickets. They just always usually have great fast bowlers! If India win the toss I will be looking to jump on them at anything above evens. I have got a draw back going as cover and am trying to increase that prior to the off. I expect the draw to come in over the first two days. I have not layed out much as yet. I think their leggie plays and it might be a case of win the toss win the match |

Opening batsman Aaron Finch is set to be dropped for the fourth Domain Test and Mitch Marsh could also be on the outer for Australia's must-win clash with India, according to reports.
Finch has been axed from Australia's Test XI for Queensland batsman Marnus Labuschagne, while Peter Handscomb is set to replace Marsh to combat India's spinners on an SCG pitch that is expected to turn. |

Looks like the pitch might offer something on the first morning and then flatten out. I'm going to hold off pre-match and look to lay fielding side after the first wicket or 2.

India look weaker than in the last test with Yadav in for Ishant, Rahul back at the top of the order, Ashwin potentially playing unfit.

Starc (31) Cummins (45) & Hazelwood (41) had a heavy workload in Melbourne and after a very quick turnaround they haven't had time to refresh themselves. If India win toss and bat they could be toiling again. It spells trouble
Bumrah (35) Shami (31) Umesh Yadav (none) |
|
By:
Cummins particularly, big boned guy anyway who has been injury prone and bowled 60 more balls than Bumrah.

If there's one thing worse than making a bet bet (I laid the draw at 6.2) it's making a bad bet a day early because you can't remember what day of the week it is. It surely has to be followed by another bad bet so have backed Aussies at 2.72. At the time it seemed like a good idea. Now I'm not so sure if it was a case of logic in the madness or madness in the logic.

A bet bet means bad bet.

Funny but had to back Aussies again at 2.92. Not bad so far two bad bets and maybe a third.

India look much the better and more settled line up to me. I am on India for first morning even ahead of the toss
|
|
By:
Wouldn't disagree with that pj apart. Not really fussed if either team win but don't want the draw.
|
|
By:
the only thing for the Draw is that India will be determined NOT to lose this series, they are so series - focussed, so no early declarations or anything like that
|

I'll be asleep while the game goes on so just trying a guessing game.

I'll be only worried about my draw red, if and when i have it, if Aus bat first and bat well. And if Ind are setting a target for Aus on day 4, because in that case they'll bat Aus out of it, not worrying about the amount of time left in the game.
I would love India to bat first, slow, long and well. |
|
By:
Would quite like Aus to win the toss, as appear to have had more lays of India to do so matched.

Its buggered the draw too. All round stinker. Might NZ Lanka one dayer be better action.

yep astonishing price for oz at home even minus smith and warner. india's batting line up still very dependent on 2 or 3 players
