Traded this reasonably nicely but for only £400 odd on RR. Sort of hoping for a flip so I can go back on RR (and lose some money, probably).

Easy to say this in retrospect and obviously Gayle has had a good tournament but both these sides have very dodgy middle orders. RR was Buttler or Sampson or bust and KXIP’s only really classy batsman is Rahul.

Gayle was a late buy in the auction too,have the kings lost loads of bats or just poor management

Me too..problem is that their two most expensive buys Unadcunt and Stokes have not performed and they have not held on to their chances

Shocking looking card. Of course that doesn’t automatically stop a side suddenly smashingly it to all parts at the death but it’s a massive ask. Market seems to under react to overs like that last one too. Needing 12 an over getting 6 is pretty bad.

Did think that Rahul’s innings left the acceleration too late but he didn’t do badly with Stoinis. The partnership looked abysmal because Stoinis was scoring well under a run a ball when needing two runs a ball. He should have been scoring faster earlier, I think but you can see how he got stuck consolidating given how bad his team mates were.
Stoinis showed little intent. It was most odd.
Rahul was acutely aware that once the RRR went north of 10 he had to act. (Given the spin and Archer's 2 overs to come). He chose not to and saved his best shots till the game was done.

I also think Rahul left it too late but he only faced two dot balls from when Stoinis came in at 13.4 and one of those was in the final over when he refused a single. Although arguably, that just goes to show that he left it too late.
