If we get a CM, Australia will likely win, but weather looks touch and go at the mo. Currently on NO, but still a fair amount of time before start.

no there isn't.

it's taken them 45 minutes since the rain stopped to be ready to play again.
Report tomtimtum June 5, 2017 8:21 PM BST
It stopped raining at 737 or so and they wanted to resume at 830 - 53 mins.

Not going to be a fast clean up if this rains for a decent length of time which the radar says it should

The rain rotation is from the south and no chance of a rain break any time soon IMO.

Have the special kind of smugness you get from backing your judgement really hard, past the point of significant anxiety; having it all go wrong being within a short arm's reach then winning anyway. I'm more relieved than smug though. Even took my back of yes at 3.1 out (although would have been able to lay off after a bump down) as was so convinced once it started raining again.

Market still not totally convinced. Pretty sure you can't put a fork in it now though: there may be some lighter rain and even a short while with just cloud but then there's heavy stuff coming after that.

MacBeth trumps If, especially as I don't think this is good advice for gamblers:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings; And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,; And lose, and start again at your beginnings; And never breath a word about your loss

Brewed cider three years back when we had a lot of apples, which was really good once you got past it tasting very different to any cider you'd had before, pretty sour and strong as the Hulk.

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul.

The quoted line I found about original sin being committed by everyone now so not being original was quite funny.

While we're here, this is spot on for trading, Brutus from Julius Caesar:

Brutus:
There is a tide in the affairs of men.
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures.

Report pxb June 5, 2017 11:18 PM BST
It depends on England and the weather.

Although, a couple more washouts and Aus and NZ will both have no net RR. How to decide who goes through? A coin toss?
Report Fatslogger June 6, 2017 12:59 AM BST
I know it's how things are ad it would be difficult to get the match ref or umpires to curtail an innings because of a bad forecast but it's a bit silly that we've had comfortably enough overs for a result in both the no results in this group but used too many in the first innings and didn't get to 20 in the second.
Report pxb June 6, 2017 1:13 AM BST
Slogger, all part of the fun and challenge of CMM betting. Judging where the match will be when it rains. Although today was closer than I expected.
