3:30 pm: Well the good news is that the heavy rain has gone and now it's just some drizzle that for some reason just will not stop. The covers are still on the square. We have just had an announcement through the P.A at the ground that they have no news to bring us. Not much help there then! It does look a bit brighter, although until the water stops falling from the sky…

The cut-off time for a 20-over game to start is 17:00 local. We are fast approaching that time. Before all that the rain has to stop and the ground needs to be readied for play. Doesn't look promising at all.

4:00pm:  Another 30 minutes lost and yes you've guessed it. It's still raining. The DJ is playing "I'm in the mood for Love". Not sure that's what most people in the ground are feeling at the minute…

4:50 pm: Its very bad news I'm afraid. We have just seen the two captains shake hands and the game has been called off. There has just been too much rain and it just hasn't stopped.
