Charlie, is your essential thesis that the market is more volatile than it should be, so you ride swings, thinking they've on sversge swung too much?
I'd have to give that some thought but as a first go yes.

FSA little thought says I look at odds, runs, players, bowlers, wickets remaining and overs remaining. And then guess.
Fair enough. My essential thesis is that T20 at high level is sufficiently random that I'm always looking to back the side that's beyond evens but clearly I occasionally let my conscious brain room that possibly (not properly tested) winning approach.

FSI never replied to a post on last Test match which I said I would. I haven't forgotten. I'll start a thread tomorrow which revolves, somewhat, around you. Teasing I know!
Ooo the excitement!
I would quite like a general principles thread for tests and one for T20s. The match threads are great and there are some real nuggets of gold in there but without trying to be too harsh to anyone in particular, there's a lot of dirt to dig through to get them. More importantly, it's difficult to develop a conversation around all the certifying of runways and chugging of money printers.

Anytime one player gets a 100 and the team gets less then a 200 you know there is a problem.
Not quite that simple as sometimes an innings transcends the pitch but certainly suggests an issue. Amla's two tons have been good but have needed hitters to connect around him but Marsh was also apparently trying to anchor (think that's the word I'm looking for), because he's just not a destroyer of attacks. To be fair to him, they created enough chances to win the game easily enough.
