Yep, so pleased for Stokes! Good lad
Bloody good effort, yes, winning the game despite Dhoni's very best efforts to lose it.

Dhoni kept the team in at when 4 down for nothing.
Just don't agree with this analysis. He'd have been off getting out immediately than producing that innings. That his team won anyway doesn't mean he gets any credit, any more than a bowled who goes for 40/0 in a low scoring game does.

If Dhoni was out straight away 40-5.. Not sure that is a better situation than when Dhoni was out.
Would have been a much worse situation but that's because of what Stokes did, not what Dhoni did. It's retrospective reasoning based on an amazing innings from Stokes (and a useful one from Christian) to regard Dhoni's as a good innings, or even a passable one.

Stokes is the only one to have been much good though, isn't he? Buttler has been decent, to be fair: really good SR and enough runs to be useful fairly often and devastating on occasion. Woakes has taken wickets but had a bad ER and not shown much with the bat, albeit that he's not had the chance that often. Mills has picked up piles and piles of cash for not an awful lot, it has to be said and Billings and Morgan have both been outright poor, haven't they?

Buttler has been superb for me (rose tinted glasses I know), has had some terrible luck with dismissals
Woakes hasn't had much chance with the bat so hard to judge him on his all round abilities
Roy hasn't been given much of a chance for some reason, looked decent.
Billings flatters to deceive, looks like he could be top class but doesnt score enough runs to back it up.
I know the above 2 haven't scored the volume of runs to suggest they're top class but they've shown enough for me to think they could score plenty of runs whereas there's a few overseas in this comp who just look like garbage.
Mills hasn't done anything amazing but this is obviously a huge step up for him.
Morgan is vastly overrated so I wouldn't expect much from him.
