I was under 200 today and over 180 so that worked well..but Malinga screwed me almost..but some of the early matches have been a horror

Is it fair to say (in this filthy tourny), one should always back the batting side?
So far the pitches have been very good. I remember some of the games in Chennai used to throw up some surprises, low scores and gubbed chases, but by far and large the wickets have been just too good for batting, I cant really remember a sub 150 score (batting first) so far?
As the tournament continued pitches may get worse and there may be a few more surprises for the team batting second..

I always think that T20 is an unfair contest between bat and ball (unless the pitch is a minefield), so I always want to be on whoever is batting, picking the right entry point carefully

MI really cheap here. Want to pile in but hoping Big Noshow can score some quick runs. Would love above 1.9 and if they think 1.74 at this point they may well go 1.9 after a couple of 6'sCool

Way to urinate all over a run chase. Did well out of being on the bad team before transferring to the good team.
I wonder if sides get penalised for failing to take both time-outs.

I do appreciate 10 an over is a big ask but there are some small boundaries. I expect plenty of sixes from MI and if they get them they will cut down any total!

What an absolute joke of a format.
I suppose it's ok for the peasants and the plebs. The mongs in the crowd seem to be in raptures celebrating every insignificant 4 or 6 that is hit on under 9 boundaries with railway sleeper bats.
It's hard to take any enjoyment from such a one paced format.
Cricket should be about defence & technique as well as just ATTACK!!, it should have changes of tempo,strategy & nuances. This is just mediocre journeyman batsmen who can't cut the mustard in proper cricket, biffing it as hard as they can against village bowlers.
I had more fun reading John Challis's autobiography.

juc and pecker can get to feck, if you dont like T20 then please dont come into the match threads, T20 is a great game and we dont need it ruined by a couple of test neds, as for the "about defence and technique" quote from juc, u hae to be absolutely fecking kidding me, the best T20 batsman are farmore talented than the best test batsman who literally cannot up a strike rate and are too fecking scared of getting out and losing a match
I agree with Grant, for me T20 is the most exciting form of cricket and the best for betting. One simple thing to remember from this game was if it is easy for one team to get a big score, it will probably be easy for the other team. And vice versa of course. Also I would rather be watching and trading over a few hours, not several boring days of dot balls.

Over £700 Million matched so far on IPL says it all really.
