I've made a fair bit from the tournament but what is going on over there is absolutely disgraceful,
I have all the data re odds, analysis etc, is there anybody who would give me a chance to write a detailed report on the game?

Just one startling fact is Kota were 1.6 to defend 118 and Jaisalmer were 8s to defend 141. |

There aren't many organisations ready to engage in publicly accusing any party of match fixing without being able to prove it.
That was the whole problem with the davydenko thing, with betfair implicitly reaching a judgement, (a very fair one mind you) yet not being the organisation whose duty it is to prove it. On top of this it can attract huge publicity placing an even greater onus on those making the allegations to prove them. One possible interpretation of the market movements might be that the whole purpose of an entire T20 league is to be to able to manufacture matches with certain outcomes. It's pretty sad. I've said elsewhere that given the way these matches are being played, I don't think it's right for betfair to continue to offer them, but i understand that the explosion in popularity of T20 cricket and betting on it, is a great way to generate growth. If they do continue to offer them and you want to bet on them the advice is this: you can make a lot of money if you wait for "the drop". It is free money, but you'll only be taking it from people who can't heed this advice. I'm almost certain that Betfair have an MoU with them and can provide the necessary match data on request. |

The only proof of match fixing is a recording of the fix being arranged. Suspicious betting patterns aren't proof. So, I'd use words like, strange, unusual, anomalous. BF will have the data to do a proper statistical analysis with account details, but as this in India it's in the jurisdiction of some Indian agency. And betting is a legal grey area there, and I doubt there is anyone specifically responsible for corruption in sport, outside the BCCI, and they are embroiled in court cases currently.

From what I have heard, this league sounds like a set up. I can assure you whoever takes action against this league, will be the one sponsoring it in the first place. It sounds like a set up to 'crack down on match fixing' or even an attempt at making sure no one other than the big guys(say BCCI) can run T20 leagues in the country.

I've never seen anything quite as blatant as this though. It has got worse in the last few days as they make sure certain teams reach the last 4. I'm going to give it a wide berth from now on as I'm not in the'know'. |

So relatively small amounts of money going in one direction will produce relatively large price movements. Which doesn't mean there isn't fixing going on.

When bf first introduced To Win The Toss markets, they were wildly volatile for a random event and I made a fair bit trading them. After a month or so they stabilized after more traders came in and now hardly move at all.
