DUBAI: The second edition of Pakistan Super League was hit by corruption scandal as PCB has provisionally suspended two players, Khalid Latif and Sharjeel Khan, for being suspected to be linked with an international syndicate.
"The Pakistan Cricket Board have today provisionally suspended two players under its Anti-Corruption Code as part of an ongoing investigation into an international syndicate which is believed to be attempting to corrupt the Pakistan Super League which started in Dubai yesterday,” said PCB in a statement on Friday. “Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif have been suspended and the rigorous and wide-ranging investigation by the PCB supported by the ICC will continue as part of collective efforts to protect the integrity of the sport,” it added. According to PCB sources, both the players were caught by PCB’s security and anti-corruption officer Col Azam on Thursday night while connecting with suspected people. Sources said both the players have confessed to be in contact with the suspected people, with their international careers now at verge of being ended. Both the players were representing Islamabad United in Pakistan Super League, an official of PCB has confirmed that players are being sent back to home following the case. |

As you know, I don't bet inplay, except the odd CMM. Did quite a bit on Purple (before Aus accounts were closed) and found I wasn't that good at it. So I'm happy to stick to my pre-play niches and Tests.
