Think I shall stay on the sherry! This is a strange match. After yesterday's Pakistaniesque performance with tipping catches over the boundary rope and Watson throwing a simple catch on the floor it would be prudent to quit while ahead until we figure out which way the agreement has been made!

Think way short here. Argument is it is easier to score off the new ball, but the first 4 set batsmen all gave their wickets up cheap. One of them went another 5 overs, and this was 190.
Halfed my Renegades lay, and expecting Scorchers to at least get to 1.30 inside the first 5 overs. Plenty of green to play with.

Marsh is back from injury and Klinger is out of nick and Bell shined when he opened for them 1st game. If these 2 put on a big stand and win game then I'll be proven wrong!

Well I would think that even stronger argument to keep them where they are comfortable. More chance getting form in a comfortable environment.
But either way, with these 2 openers, the chances of Bell being under too much pressure when he comes in, is pretty slim. One of them either fails, or they have **** all left to do. Not like either of them are slow players.
Klinger averages 38 at 127, and Marsh 40.6 at 129.
Bell 28 at 122.
Hardly likely to do anything with stats like that.

I listened to the Scorchers reply on my mobile while driving to London. I got there with two overs remaining, parked and left my engine running as one is advised after a long journey...something to do with a cat I am told!
Anyway this woman walks past as I am looking at the game on my phone and asks me to turn my engine off! What? A wicket falls and to my credit I did not tell her to go forth and multiply even after she told me it was now illegal and I could be fined £80. I politely asked her to call a Policeman!
I digress. Ashley Scorchers paced it to perfection. If you think about it, Finch bowled some sheite in that last over.
Having said that why oh why don't they ever think about what they are doing! They had so many wickets in hand they could have sent in two pinch hitters or strikers like Willey and the other fella ( AJ Turner ) who got F. All or even MJ and say by all means defend the odd straight one in your first over but after that try and hit well if not every ball, just hit! Smack 30 or 40 in 3 or 4 overs and it is game over. Lose two wickets of bludgeoners and nothing is lost!
A wicket in the last over or two wickets can leave you little room for manoeuvre. Scorchers were lucky to win although they made their luck and deserved the win. They may have lost had Bravo not done for himself!
I have to say I would like to see the betting patterns on some of these BBL games! You'da thought Renegades woulda got closer to 200 than 150!

Sometimes I watch it and just laugh. Full bungers, wide half volleys, slower ball long hops. It truly is pitiful at times.
Bravo was of course a big loss though.
